I love owls

I have got a bit of a thing about owls and made this card a while ago and have kept it rather than sending it to anyone, the owl is from the Happily ever after cartridge for the cricut and I have used it a lot. I have no idea why I love owls but a couple of weeks ago my hubby got me a bag and other bits from paperchase with owls, and they do seem to be appearing a lot in crafts at the moment.

On a different note I am having to spend tomorrow morning sorting out the garage due to the fact my husband has been given a ride on lawn mower and it needs to be put away. I have had to stand outside today in the cold to look at it and listen to it going, to me it looks like a mini tractor that makes a lot of noise, but to hubby it is a dream machine and even my 2 teenage boys think it is great and now everyone wants to cut the lawn even though it is not time to,it as got to be a boys and toys thing. So think of me tomorrow trying to battle my way through all the clutter in the garage and the spiders just to home this noise maker.It does make me smile though to think a job that no one usually wants to do as suddenly become the best job.

papertake weekly challenge

I thought I would have ago at the papertake weekly challenge and decided to get out my sewing machine and that's where it all went wrong. My machine is in desperate need of a service and kept getting messed up luckily it was on the back, so I have covered it up but it was like spaghetti juntion.

For my card I have used another Anya stamp these are so easy to use and colour and I need that at moment as I have only just got my copics caio and need the practice.The papers are some I found in my stash when I was tidying and are pink martini design(what a brill name)now I am on a mission to use my paper stash , I have some lush paper but always think it seems a shame to cut it, but cut it I must before I have to buy yet another box to store new papers.

My husband thinks it is quite amusing that I am doing this blog and asked does anyone read it? and all I could say was I don't know but I am enjoying it and it as got me enthusiastic about card making again as my mojo left for a while.

cheer leading Anya

I have made a card today using this cute Anya stamp, I knew when I saw it I needed it lol , as my daughter has just started cheer leading (high school musical as a lot to answer for). My daughter is called Tianna and is 7 and she made a card last night for me using this stamp too. For my card I raided my su papers, I so love the su range of papers and have to force myself to cut into them, and the stars are cut from a sizzix die then some are glittered using su heat and stick powder.

Friday Sketchers 40

I love sketches as they give you a point to start from and now I have a blog I thought I would have a go at Friday sketchers. I have used k&co paper and a sugar nellie stamp, I have coloured her with distress inks and made some little flowers out of paper. I think I may give this to my mum as it is her birthday soon.

I am back with my first card, I just love this cute fella and have had this stamp for ages.

Now I have to say I mostly like to do girlie coloured cards and lots of pink and purple too, but I tried something different for a change and I am quite pleased with the results, whether I actually send it to anyone is another matter. I have used my trusty nesties which I love very much in fact I have even decorated a tin especially for them, ok I know I am a bit sad but I just love my crafting the only thing I love more is my family.

So here goes and if it went well you should see my card if not this post will mean nothing and I will have to invest in a book about blogging to get it right or ask my 14 year old son to help.

first post

Now I have no idea what I am doing or if this is going to work but this is my first blog post.I am not terribly good on computers in fact my 14 year old is probably better than me but I am giving it a whirl,after being asked again if I had a blog I thought I would have a go.
I love to stamp and mess around with paper and can while away lots of time( that should be spent cleaning my house )shifting bits of paper around and generally getting messy with ink.So my blog will be about my cards that I love to make.So on that note I am going to go and upload a card to show you in my next post.
